At CiYu, your safety is not just a feature — it is our foundation. We are deeply committed to ensuring that every user feels respected, secure, and empowered while using our platform. Whether you're messaging online or meeting offline, these guidelines are here to help you protect yourself and others.

🔐 1. Profile Safety & Verification

  • All user profiles are subject to strict content and behavior policies.

  • We recommend verifying your profile to build trust with potential matches.

  • Never share sensitive personal information (e.g., ID numbers, financial data, passwords) on your profile or in chats.

💬 2. Communication Safety

  • Always stay on the platform until you feel completely safe and ready to share other contact info.

  • Be cautious of users who:

    • Ask for money or favors.

    • Try to quickly move conversations to private apps or emails.

    • Are vague about themselves but overly flattering to you.

  • Trust your gut. If something feels off, report the user immediately.

🚨 3. Spotting & Reporting Suspicious Behavior

Report any of the following immediately via the Report or Block features:

  • Fake profiles or impersonation

  • Harassment or threatening messages

  • Scams or requests for money

  • Hate speech, bullying, or discrimination

  • Inappropriate photos or sexual content

All reports are reviewed promptly by our safety team. Repeated or serious offenses may lead to immediate banning.

🤝 4. Meeting in Person – Safety Tips

When you're ready to meet someone from CiYu offline, follow these essential precautions:

  • Meet in public places. Never agree to meet at a private residence on the first few dates.

  • Tell a friend or family member where you are going and who you’re meeting.

  • Arrange your own transport. Don’t accept rides from someone you’ve just met.

  • Avoid alcohol or drugs that impair judgment during your first meetings.

  • Keep personal valuables minimal and stay alert to your surroundings.

Your safety comes first. Don’t hesitate to leave if you feel uncomfortable at any point.

🔞 5. Age & Consent Policy

  • CiYu is strictly for individuals 18 years and older.

  • We do not tolerate any attempts to solicit or engage with minors.

  • Violators will be reported to legal authorities and permanently banned.

🌈 6. Respect, Inclusion & Boundaries

  • All users are expected to treat others with respect.

  • Discrimination based on race, gender, religion, sexuality, or physical ability is not tolerated.

  • No means no. Always respect boundaries — both digital and physical.

If you feel violated or disrespected, please report the user immediately. Your emotional safety is just as important as your physical security.

🚫 7. Prohibited Content & Behavior

To ensure CiYu remains safe and respectful, the following are strictly prohibited:

  • Pornographic or violent imagery

  • Financial solicitation or "sugar" relationships

  • Stalking or coercion

  • Spamming or sending mass unsolicited messages

  • Fake identity use or creating multiple deceptive profiles

🧑‍⚖️ 8. Enforcement & Penalties

Depending on the severity of a violation, we may take the following actions:

  • Warning or temporary suspension

  • Permanent account deactivation

  • IP/device bans

  • Reporting to relevant authorities

We reserve the right to investigate and act on any suspected or reported violation.

To report a safety issue, use one of the following options:

  • In-app “Report User” button (on profiles or messages)

  • Email us directly at safety@ciyu.app

  • Use our Help Center for urgent safety concerns
